Qala Chakis – 15 Days Volunteer Experience
“Where each footprint brings hope”
“Qala Chakis,” meaning barefoot, is a meaningful 15-day volunteer experience designed for travelers who want to make a real impact while discovering the cultural richness of Peru. This program invites participants to contribute to social development initiatives in Cusco, working directly with children from underserved communities in partner schools across the region.
Through a service-based approach, volunteers support educational, social, and health-related activities, focusing on creativity, motor skills, and soft skills development. Whether assisting in language teaching, arts, theater, or community support roles, each contribution helps empower local children while fostering meaningful cultural exchange.
The program balances volunteering (4 days per week) with immersive travel experiences (3 days per week), allowing participants to explore iconic destinations such as Machu Picchu while connecting deeply with the local culture.
Open year-round and adaptable from 15 to 60 days, Qala Chakis is ideal for those seeking purpose-driven travel, combining personal growth, social impact, and unforgettable experiences.
